Beth + Brad ~ A St. Margaret Sailing Club / Downtown Halifax Wedding

I always try to write these notes for wedding blog posts the day after the wedding, when all of the emotions and impressions of the day before are still fresh on my memory. Some weddings naturally resonate, and while I do absolutely love every single event I am invited to, some really stick with me - kind of like a dream lingers in your sub-conscious - and I feel them the following day as well. This was one of those. Perhaps it was because we started the day with the bridal party at Jerry Lawrence Park, where I first met Beth and Brad and their sweet little people just a year or so ago. Perhaps it was because the ceremony was held at the St. Margaret Sailing Club, and as I live nearby have a huge affinity with the Bay. OR perhaps it was as simple as the fact the the reception was held downtown at the amazing Shuck Restaurant, and I am just not that cool to go downtown very often these days so I enjoyed it thoroughly lol. Either way, Beth and Brad's wedding has really and truly stuck, and I have been thinking about it all dang day!

This wedding was everything a wedding should be - fun, relaxed, and completely enjoyable. The ceremony was held up by a quick shower of rain - making us all despair momentarily, but then the clouds parted and the sun shone down beautifully while Beth and Brad said their I do's. The reception at Shuck was casual as well, with friends and family mingling, delicious food being passed around and laughter flowing freely. After some of the most epic speeches I have ever heard they danced and loved under the city lights. It was magical. Thank you so very much Beth and Brad for sharing your day with me, it was such an honour!
