Andi + Doug's Vow Renewal at Micou's Island

It was the most beautiful afternoon. The sun was shining, the air was (finally!) warm, and the wind light. Micou's Island is one of my favourite places to shoot at in St. Margaret's Bay, and was the absolute perfect spot for Andi and Doug's for a vow renewal ceremony. After falling in love with Nova Scotia when vacationing here years ago (as so many of us do!) these two came all the way from their home in Ontario to re-do their I-do's. With the help of some amazing local friends they planned the sweetest ceremony!

After Andi and I assured each other that we were both super easygoing I walked past the umbrellas and swimsuit-clad kiddos to the far edge of the beach where Andi and Doug's closest Nove Scotia friends and family were gathered. Doug may or may not have admitted to me that although they had done this before he was feeling rather nervous, but I watched all of that disappear when he saw his beautiful bride:). With laughter and a few tears, they shared and strengthened their love. I loved hearing stories of their lives together and their original wedding day years ago, when they first said 'I do'. Most of all (and to quote Andi herself) I love the love. There was so much of it, and so very much happiness. Thank you so very much Andi and Doug, wishing you many more years of happiness together!
